Robert Parker: “Recent signs of improvement in Pedesclaux are apparent in this opaque ruby/purple-hued 2011. For example, much lower yields (33 hectoliters per hectare in 2011) a final blend of 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 12% Petit Verdot, and much greater ripeness (14.5% alcohol) are reasons for this dramatic turnaround. Clean, pure notes of black currants, black cherries, spice and earth are found in this medium-bodied, well-endowed (especially for a 2011), impressive, well-made Pauillac. The finish is long, silky and authoritative. Drink now-2022.”
