In Roman times, the terroir around the estate has already been famous for producing quality wines according to a map of 1876. Remnants of a villa Romana has been discovered close to the Chateau. For over 130 years, the property didn’t changed at all.
Heritage of Lamothe 2010 exhibits a deep purple red color. Firm and bold, this is a solid wine. After aeration, it shows an outstanding aromatic complexity with good integration of fruit and oak. Large spectrum of aromas: clove, spices, toasted bread and mild tobacco. Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot grapes make this wine generous and Merlot will bring elegancy. Good cellaring potential.
